What is this about?
Our demography would be for people that are concerned about bushfires and air quality degrading around the world and at the same time they are modern day foodies who love eating out.
The information provided here will help them in such a way that they can plan a trip to eat outside knowing what the air quality is at present and if their favourite spot is open or not or if its a new spot they want to try out we provide them with the contact information, address and the restraunt ratings.
In simple words we are asking ourselves, is it ok to go out today?
Why this is relevant today?
The EPA has identified six pollutants as “criteria” air pollutants because it regulates them by developing human health-based and/or environmentally-based criteria (science-based guidelines) for setting permissible levels. These six pollutants are:
- Carbon monoxide
- Lead
- Nitrogen oxides
- Ground-level ozone
- Particle pollution(often referred to as particulate matter)
- Sulfur oxides
Color codes are provided in the background of the airQuality and information relating the air Quality will be provide.
- Green(Air Quality Index=0-50):Displays it is a good day to be out today in(city/restaurant name).
- Yellow(Air Quality Index=51-100):May cause minor breathing discomfort to sensitive people.
- Red(Air Quality Index=100+):May cause breathing discomfort to people with lung disease such as asthma, and discomfort to people with heart disease, children and older adults.
